Two Companies, One Shared Heart
As Howden Equestrian Centre (HEC) grew, so did our vision for the community. We realised that to truly fulfill our mission of making equestrianism accessible to everyone, we needed a dedicated space for social impact.
Meet Our Sister Company:
Howden Community Stables CIC.

Howden Community Stables (HCS) is our sister not-for-profit Community Interest Company.
While HEC remains the same professional riding school, training and examination centre as before, HCS was born out of a desire to remove the barriers—both physical and financial—that often surround our sport.

RDA Centre
HCS is an approved Riding for the Disabled Centre offering RDA riding lessons and non ridden therapy sessions.

Alternative Education
HCS will be taking the lead on our BHS Changing lives through horses programme.
CLTH is an educational program designed to support young people disengaged from mainstream education by helping them develop vital life skills, empathy, and resilience through structured interaction and partnership with horses.

HAF Pony Days
HCS works in conjunction with ERYC to offer HAF pony experiences for children in receipt of free school meals. Providing engaging activities for children during the school holidays, specifically targeting those who receive benefits-related free school meals to ensure they stay active, fed, and socially connected.
By working side-by-side, HEC and HCS provides a complete pathway for our community.
Whether you are training for professional BHS qualifications with HEC or finding freedom and strength through our RDA sessions with HCS, you are part of the same yard family, supported by the same 5-star welfare standards and elite expertise.
