We're excited to announce that Howden Equestrian Centre is now an official centre for in-house BHS Exams!
Study and take your BHS Stage 1, 2 & 3 Care exams right here at HEC, surrounded by a supportive and friendly atmosphere. We offer dedicated training courses in riding, coaching, lunging, and Ride-Safe to help you shine on exam day.
Get to know the horses you'll be riding in the exam, making the whole experience much less stressful and more enjoyable. Learn and succeed with us!
Our experienced BHS accredited trainers are also here to support your progress, offering assessment and sign-off for candidates up to Level 4. Let's make your BHS aspirations a reality!

- BHS Stage 1 Care Course ONLINE - 4 weeks starting

- BHS Stage 2 Care Course IN PERSON - 10 weeks starting
Saturday 21st February 2026.
£250 (or £30 pay as you go).
- BHS Stage 2 Care Course ONLINE - 6 weeks starting Saturday 17th September 2026.
£175 (or £30 pay as you go).
- BHS Stage 3 Care Course IN PERSON- 10 weeks starting
Saturday 9th May 2026.

BHS training is given by our BHSI (Stage 5) Stable Manager or BHS Stage 4 Senior Instructor
