Howden Equestrian Centre is a family run equestrian business located just outside the town of Howden  on the A614 leading towards Holme Upon Spaldingmoor.

HEC is fully insured and licenced with the East Riding of Yorkshire Council (Number NA2 211708) and its staff are all BHS qualified, or qualified through Bishop Burton College.

Our yard has passed strict yearly assessments by the British Horse Society and The Pony Club, covering all areas of standards of lessons, horse welfare, facilities etc. This is a gold standard to look for when looking for a suitable establishment.

Collectively we have over 65 years of experience in the training of horse and rider, and have previously trained riders of all ages in several local riding schools, including our chief instructor being a BHS Level 4 senior coach, BHSAI (ITT) &  BHS accredited coach.

We are a small friendly business, where your enjoyment and development are of upmost importance  to us.  All our horses/ponies are carefully selected by us, to give the best possible experience for riders of all levels.
